The island of Sylt.

Sylt coast line

Some time back, I went on a lovely weekend trip to the northern most tip of Germany and it was quite an experience. Sylt is a part of the Schleswig-Holstein district of Germany and its sandy beaches are simply amazing. I took the train from Hamburg and the ride was spectacular. It felt like I am riding over the North sea.

Sylt is an offshore island and is accessible from the main land by air and rail. Being a coastal town there are many fish n chips outlets in the city center and everything they make is simply mouth watering.

It was day really well spent on the shores of the north sea and I long to go back again, but this time in summer. I heard the beaches are nude!! 🙂

      1. Once only. My best friend is from Hamburg and we would usually just explore the shorelines of the North Sea. 🙂

  1. Great shots yourself! I’m glad you posted on my blog. I love reading about other travelers and viewing their journey’s. Happy travels. Love the Robert Frost quote as well.
